The Vitiligo Society of South Africa was launched in May 2008 at the annual congress of the Dermatological Society of South Africa.  The Vitiligo Society functions under the umbrella of the Dermatological Society.  The formation of the Vitiligo Society fulfils a dire need in the community since 1-2% of the population suffer from Vitiligo.  Vitiligo sufferers now have a home they can truly call their own.
